Dave decided to open a pharmacy that only practiced compounding. This was an idea that was very risky according to most and had very little chance of being feasible. Through perseverance and a powerful entreprenuerial spirit, Dave built the practice to be one of the premier pharmacies in the country and a model for all others to follow. Dave proved that a pharmacy like this could work. He was invited to give numerous lectures on his business plan throughout the 1990's and spoke to hundreds of pharmacists around the country. Today there are hundreds of pharmacies following Dave's plan.
Throughout it's 15 year history, Prescription Specialties has worked with almost all medical specialties, from pediatrics to reproductive endocrinology. The pharmacy has evolved into a mainly veterinary practice, serving the needs of equine, small animals and exotic animals around the country.
